In a March 17th editorial, the Sun Sentinel takes on the Coconut Creek Police force for its “suspiciously slow” response to inquiries into the taser-related death of Mr. Calvin Reid on February 22nd and the subsequent revelations that none of the officers had the necessary certifications to use a stun gun.    “Given the extraordinary power we give police to arrest us — and use deadly force, if necessary — citizens demand a public accounting when use-of-force incidents go bad.”
